This Billao dagger is early 20 Century and comes from the coastal people of Somalia. It has a classical non-symmetrical leaf shape blade, 9 ½ inches long 2 ½ inches wide. The handle is made of two ivory sectors separated by layers of horn. Original hide scabbard with part of the leather belt. Total length 12 inches. Very good condition. Minor blackened spots on the blade. The pommel cap is missing.
