Up for sale is this very good Yataghan sword, Turkish or Balkan. Blade 22 inches richly decorated with gold koftgari work and dated on the spine. The year is a bit blurred but it looks as 1223 (1808 in the Gregorian calendar). Horn grips with silver bolsters and grip strap. Leather covered scabbard with spiral stitching (later) and white metal mounts. Total length 29 inches. Very good condition.
