A fine example of late18th, early 19th C. Persian Jambiya dagger from the Qajar period. The 9 1/2 inches curved and chiseled blade with a pronounced central rib is beautifully forged from fine Persian wootz (Damascus) steel of high contrast. The hilt is solid piece of walrus tusk in the classical ‘I’ shape . Total length 14 inches. Very good condition. A very elegant dagger of good quality.
