This type of knife / dagger is called “PIHA KAHETTA”, and it is the traditional knife of the Sinhalese from Sri-Lanka (Ceylon). This fine and specific example has an 7 inches blade inlaid with silver decoration. Heavy highly decorative silver bolsters. The grip is carved from black horn . Original scabbard with silver mount. This Piha comes with the side steel and brass stylus. Total length is 12 inches. Very good condition. A rare combination of a complete set with stylus. The knife is from 19C.
