Fine Small Size Ngombe “Execution” Sword - 12713

This type of sword is common between the Ngombe people of central Zaire. There are many legends concerning the use of such swords for execution. Either it is right or wrong, it is definitely a very interesting sword and always was regarded as a symbol of status. This one is definitely too small and too light to be used for execution but it is a fine piece of its kind. Very well forged blade, nicely decorated , 11 inches long. The hilt is wood with the grip bound with thread. Very good plus condition. |
