This rare type of knife / dagger comes from the state of Kerala on the South West shores of India, however, some sources attribute this style of knives to Rajasthan. The down curving solid blade, with a T shaped spine is 7 inches long, 2 inches wide at its widest point. The handle is composed of sectors of horn and ivory. Wood scabbard finely carved. Total length 14 inches. Very good condition. The wood carving suggest a North India origin which may support the Rajasthan origin.
