This type of knife / dagger is called “PIHA KAHETTA”, and it is the traditional knife of the Sinhalese from Sri-Lanka (Ceylon). This fine example has an 8 inches blade inlaid with engraved brass. Heavy highly decorative Brass bolsters. The grips are carved from Ivory. Original scabbard with silver collar. Total length is 11 ˝ inches. Very good condition.
