This very good sword is an Arab/Bedouin saif, probably from Arabia or may be further south. Mid 19C. German trade blade with the seven stars marking 29 inches long. Some time later it was etched with inscription in Arabic on both sides. Later, early –mid 20 C. handle and scabbard finely chased and pierced silver (low grade) in a fine pattern. Total length 38 inches. Very good condition. Minor blackened spots on the blade.
