This is a very good example of Jambiya dagger from Hadhramout, an arid area in South of Yemen. early 20th C blade and handle and a bit later, mid 20C. scabbard. Finely forged blade with central rib, 7 ½ inches long. Massive rhino horn handle set with silver collar decoration on the front side and silver cover on the back. The grip is set with two coins dated 1354 (1935 in the Gregorian calendar). Heavy silver scabbard with an uprising “Thum” style finial. Total length 13 inches. Very good condition.
