Here is a very nice and rare Sumatra keris dagger. Early19c or earlier. Carved ivory handle in a stylized bird shape. The 12 inches blade is early one and a bit corroded at the top. The top part of the scabbard is elephant ivory and the bottom is bone. A finely chiseled silver mount in the middle of scabbard. A small crack to the back side of the handle but holds very solid. Usually kerises with ivory scabbard on the market are modern, late 20C. or about. This rare example is old and original.
