Very Good Turkish Bichaq with Pattern Welded (Damascus) Blade - 12609

This short knife in the shape of a small Yataghan is of Turkish origin, early to mid 19 C also known as Bichaq. its single edge blade is 9 ½ inches long, forged from pattern welded steel in the pattern known as Turkish Ribbon and engraved with inscription in Arabic letters. The Handle is covered with chased silver as well as the scabbard. Total length 16 inches. Very good condition. Minor dents on the silver. |
