This Kilij Sword, sometimes known as Pala is Turkish, dated to 1187 ( 1773 in the Gregorian Calendar) The blade, 28 inches long deeply curved with a 10 inches raised back edge, very finely laminated and decorated with gold koftgari work and dated. The grips are horn with silver grip strap and cross guard. Leather covered wood scabbard with spiral stitching. Finely chased silver mounts. Total length 35 inches. Very good condition. The scabbard mounts and leather cover are recent.
