Rare and Unusual Throwing Knife of the Mandara / Kirdi ( Sara), Chad and Cameroon, Africa - 12599

This unusual throwing knife is most probably coming from the Mandara and Kirdi people ( also known as Sara), residing in Chad and Cameroon. Simple and somewhat crude construction, F shaped with unusual back spike, normally not found on similar throwing knives from the area. It may be a local version or a later added spike, but definitely an old variation. Cord covered handle. 28 inches long. Very good condition. |
