The Khanjarli, one of the most sought after dagger in the Indian weaponry. It is characterized by its strongly re-curving blade and wide lunette shaped pommel. This one is a very fine and large example, with 8 1/2 inches multi-fullered blade forged from wootz (Damascus) steel. The iron guard has a monster shaped tip. The lunette shaped pommel and grips are Ivory, riveted to the tang with four rivets. Pommel width 5 1/2 inches. Total length 12 ½ inches. Very good condition. A very fine piece.
