This Yataghan sword is Turkish, late 18 – early 19 C. The 24 inches marked blade is forge welded from several twisted steel rods in a pattern known as Turkish Ribbon. The grips are bone and the bolsters as well as the grip strap are chased brass.Total length 29 inches. Very good condition. Fine blade with good pattern of strong contrast. Cracks on the grips.
