This kard knife is Persian, early – mid 19C. Classical shaped 6 ½ inches blade of good Wootz (Damascus, watered) steel. Walrus ivory grips and steel grip strap. Whole silver scabbard and handle cover, finely chased in a style known as Shiraz style. Total length 11 inches. Very good condition. Later solder repairs on the handle cover.
