A very fine ‘KARUD’ (the common name for a ‘Pesh-Kabz’ with straight blade). from North India or Afghanistan origin. A very fine wootz blade 12 inches long with acute point and reinforced T spine. The hilt carved from a single piece of walrus with beautiful pattern and age patina. The bolsters are steel. The scabbard is wood covered with pale yellow velvet and mounted with gilded silver fittings. Total length (in scabbard) 18 inches. Very good condition. Very fine wootz of high contrast. A very high quality item.
