This Persian Khnajar is early – mid 19 C. ,Fine blade with reinforced edges, forged from fine wootz (Watered, Damascus) steel of high contrast. Animals and hunting scenes are chiseled on the base of the blade and inlaid with gold. Blade length 19 inches. Bone handle. Total length 14 inches. Bottom cup of the hilt is later replacement.
