This is a classical fine 19 C. Persian Shamshir sword with 18 C. 32 inches blade of rare ladder wootz steel also known as Kirk Narduban the Ladder pattern and shows parallel lines similar to ladder rungs, at a constant distances on both faces of the blade. Walrus ivory grips and steel cross guard and grip strap . Original leather covered scabbard with steel belt carrying bands. Total length 38 inches. Very good condition. The ladder pattern is not of high contrast.
