This curved dagger is a nice example of the Persian art in steel in the Qajar period, 2nd half of the 19 C. The blade is 10 inches long, double edged with shallow fullers with a chiseled panel of animals at the top of the blade. The handle and the scabbard are whole steel with good chiseling.
