This very good Takouba the sword of the Tuareg is a 19 C. sword, with a double edge 31 inches blade marked with a styled Moon mark. Most probably local made blade. The hilt is of the classical Takouba design made of steel. The scabbard is tooled leather and comes with the original cotton carrying cord . Total length 37 inches. Very good condition. The plain steel handle may suggest that an earlier leather cover is now missing. Lightly worn leather of the scabbared.
