This Khanjar / Jambiya is Persian, late Qajar period, mid 19C. The curved 10 1/2 inches blade with a central rib has etched top with hunting scenes and very fine etched pattern throughout . Massive bone handle beautifully carved in a typical period design: A king and queen with slaves or workers. Later made wood scabbard covered with old faded brown velvet. Total length 16 1/2 inches. Very good condition. Very impressive dagger.
