Very Good Syrian (Magdali) Jambiya Dagger - 11654

Syrian Jambiya dagger, circa 1950, made in the Druze village of Magdal Shams (Tower of the sun) in the Golan Heights, the area of dispute between Israel and Syria. Curved short blade, 6 inches long finely etched with Arabic inscription. The handle made from layers and of horn and bone with brass nails and colored inserts. Engraved brass scabbard. Total length 10 ½ inches. Very good condition. Minor losses on the handle inserts. |
