Bedouin Ottoman Sword Saber - 12349

The Bedouins of Israel, Palestine and the Sinai peninsula will convert any available blade to a useful fighting sword, and we find a very interesting mixture of blades, handles and scabbards with this group. The sword here is an excellent example: A curved fullered blade, most probably a European trade blade, a Turkish style handle and cross guard. Hide covered wood scabbard. Blade 31 inches, tota; 36 inches. Very good condition. Authentic, late 19C. sword.
