The blade of this very fine Yataghan sword is dated to 1214 ( 1799 in the Gregorian calendar). The blade is 26 inches long forged from twisted steel bars in the pattern known as “Turkish Ribbon”. It is richly and beautifully decorated with silver inlay (true inlay) on the entire blade. Horn grips with finely chased silver grips strap and bolsters. Total length 32 inches. Very good condition. No scabbard.
