This very fine yataghan is dated to 1290 (1789 in the Gregorian calendar) The 22 inches finely forged blade is inlaid with silver (true inlay) with inscriptions in Arabic letters and dated. The grips are elephant ivory and the bolsters and grip strap are very finely chased silver. The scabbard is whole heavy gilded silver very finely chased. Total length 30 ½ inches. Very good condition.
