This fine Qama is from Dagestan, late 19 C. Very well forged fullered and marked blade with fine etching inside the fullers. Grips of black horn with steel rivets and very fine silver rosettes decorated with nilello design. Original scabbard and leather cover. Fine nielloed silver belt ring and scabbard tip. Blade 17 ½ inches long 2 inches wide. Total 24 ½ inches. This Qama comes with its original by knife in a compartment on the back of the scabbard. The by knife is 7 ½ inches long with horn handle and silver mounts. Very good condition. Minor blackened spots on the blade . Losses to the back side of the scabbard.
