Up for sale is this very good and complete four parts of a Char Aina armor, India 18 C. The chest and back plates are 11 X 8 inches and the side plates with recess to the arms are 8 ½ X 6 ½ inches. The plates are forged from pattern welded (Damascus) steel, clearly seen on several areas of the plates, and includes four side buckles each for leather straps. The back side of the plates comes with its original cushion and green velvet cover (torn in few places). Very good condition. Some blackened areas on the center of the plates. A rare and fine set. This item is coming from the John Woodman Higgins Armory Collection , Acquired in 1931.
