One of the rarest forms of daggers from the Indian arsenal, a member of a class of daggers known as Chillanum . Daggers in this class may take various shapes but all share the typical re-curving blade. This one is probably late 18 – early 19 C. from central or south India. Larger size than the usual ones with a 12 inches massive re-curving blade with a central rib. Brass handle and D guard. Total length 17 inches. Very good condition. Minor edge nicksm A rare dagger.
