This steel helmet (Khula Khud) is of Persian origin, Qajar period, second half of the 19 C. probably 1870 or about. The entire surface of the helmet is finely chiseled with floral design and inscription in Arabic letters. Diameter 8 inches, height 12 inches (helmet bottom to pike tip). Very good condition. A small hole due to excessive etching.
