Fine Jambiya Dagger with Rhino Horn Hilt, Hadhramout, Yemen - 12172

As best as it can get. This is a fine example of Jambiya dagger from Hadhramout, an arid area in South of Yemen. Early 20th C. Finely forged blade with central rib, 8 inches long. Massive rhino horn handle with a bulbous pommel set with silver filigree decoration on the front side and silver cover on the back. Heavy silver scabbard with an uprising “Thum” style finial.
