This style of daggers is known as Indo / Arab as it reminds in a way the Arab Jambiya and was probably carried and or traded with wealthy Arabs from central and south India. The blade is very well forged with pronounced central rib, 8 inches long , very similar in shape to blades of Arab Jambiya but of better quality. The handle is made of rock crystal grip sectors and finely chiseled gilded copper mounts. The scabbard mounts are chiseled and pierced gilded copper. Original scabbard with old fabric cover. Total length 13 ½ inches. Very good condition. A chip on the inner side of the rock crystal pommel sector. Minor losses to the scabbard fabric cover.
