Up for sale is this Kindjal dagger, made by Zlatoust the famous Russian blade manufacturer and which was issued to the Kuban Cossack troops in the early 20 C. 13 inches blade, etched with the Zlatoust marking and the letters ZOF (In Cyrillic letters), standing for Zlatoust Weapon Factory and KKV (also in Cyrillic letters) standing for Kuban Cossack Army) . The blade is dated to 1910. Wood grips with painted black niello white metal mounts. The scabbard is covered with the original black leather cover and original white metal mounts with niello design, also marked KKV in Cyrillic letters. Total length 19 ½ inches. Very good condition. Scabbard tip is damaged.
