This fine Kattar dagger is Indian, late 18 to early 19 C. Wootz (Damascus) steel blade 9 ½ inches long, with armor piercing thickened tip, finely chiseled with hunting scenes: elephants and lions. And decorate with gold inlay (true inlay). Handle side bars as well as the cross bars are covered with silver. Total length 17 inches. Good condition. Unfortunately some pitted areas on the blade and losses to the silver cover of the handle.
