Rare Dagger from the Island of Crete - 6229


This is a small but very good and typical example of the knife from the island of Crete in the Mediterranean. The 5 ½ inches single edge blade, of hollow ground cross section, typically engraved and mounted with ribed ivory grips widening toward the pommel in a form of split ears. The bolster and grip strap are engraved silver sheet on pewter base. Wood scabbard covered with green leather. Total length in scabbard 9 ½ inches. Very good condition! , All parts original and in excellent shape. No replacements or restorations.
