A fine Arab Khnjar / Jambiya dagger, early 20 C., from Oman. It has a 7 inches curved and dual edge blade, very well forged with a pronounced central rib. The grip is Massive piece of rhino horn decorated with silver panel on its front side and mounted with chased silver collar. The scabbard is “L” shaped covered with leather elaborately embroidered with silver strips and wires, and mounted with silver locket en suite with the hilt mounts. The belt attachment is made of complicate arrangements of silver rings and twisted silver wire. Total length 12 inches. Very good condition. This dagger comes with unusual wide leather belt, decorated with tacks.
