This ceremonial crutch is Indian, 18C. made entirely of ivory. Length 16 ½ inches. Very good condition. Repaired breakage and several old cracks. Such crutch was used by Indian nobel persons as part of their formal dress when accepting audience or respected guests. The noble man would seat with his hand rest on the hilt of the crutch, specially designed for it. Very impressive implement.
