This fine Jambiya dagger is Yemenite, coming from South Yemen and known also as Hejaz Jambiya. Blade with pronounced central rib 8 inches long. Handle of heavy silver filigree work. Wood scabbard covered with pierced and chased silver and dated on the back side to 1374 in the Islamic calendar ( 1954 in the Gregorian calendar). Total length 15 inches. Very good condition. Very impressive Jambiya.
