This dagger is of Afghan origin, late 19 C. in the style and shape of a European dagger. Probably a custom made to European (British?) officer serving in the area or a trade for the European market. Wootz blade 10 inches long. Ivory grip with steel cross guard. Leather covered scabbard with silver mounts. Total length 15 inches. Very good condition.
