This whole steel very beautiful dagger is an Indian Khanjar with a slightly re-curving blade 10 inches long, forged from very delicate Damascus steel (hardly seen). It is entirely chiseled describing various animals including elephant, lion, tiger. Antelope and rabbit in a classical Indian hunting scene. The handle with a bird styled pommel is also made of steel. Total length 14 1/2 inches. Very good condition, with very minor pitted spots and small darkened areas. Newly made scabbard. A good polish and etching will enhance the beauty of this wootz blade.
