Very Good Wootz Karud Dagger - 11945

This Karud dagger is the straight back member of the family of the Pesh-Kabz, Choora and Khyber Knife. The whole family of such daggers is common to India, Persia and several Central Asian countries. The blade is forged from beautiful wootz (Damascus, watered ) steel, 10 ½ inches long with a pronounced T spine tapering to an acute tip. The grips are made from black horn. The bolsters and the grip strap are steel finely inlaid with gold decoration. Total length 15 ½ inches. Very good condition. No scabbard. |
