This very good Jambiya dagger is coming from India, late 19C. It was probably made in India for export to Arabia or for a wealthy Arab residing in India and shows clear influence of the Jambiya daggers from Arabia. Very well forged laminated steel blade with a pronounced central rib, 8 inches long. Horn handle decorated with brass and steel nails. Leather covered scabbard with pierced brass tip. Total length 14 inches. Losses to the leather cover of the scabbard on the rear side.
