Up for sale is this set of two Arab powder flasks, late 19C., made from raw hide in the shape of flasks made from a camel crotch, dried and tooled in a geometrical design. The small flask is of regular dimensions: 9 inches long, 3 inches wide. The big flask however is of unusual dimensions: 15 inches long 5 inches wide, probably meant to contain a big amount of powder, for a team use. Both have a brass plug, connected with steel chains to the flask ear. Very good condition. Good dark age patina on the hide.
