This dagger is of Afghan origin, late 19 C. in the style and shpe of a European dagger. Probably a custom made to European (British?) officer serving in the area or a trade for the European market. Wootz blade 10 inches long. Walrus grip with silver mounts in a clear Afghan style. Silver cross guard. Leather covered scabbard with silver mounts. Total length 16 inches. Very good condition. Minor forging flaws and edge nicks.
