This Khanjar / Jambiya dagger is Indian, probably early – mid 19 C. Its employ a Persian style curved and double edged blade forged from very good wootz (Damascus, watered) steel. The handle is steel, deeply chiseled on the entire surface, leaving only the Arabic letters, each decorated with gold koftgari work. Blade 8 inches, total 15 ½ inches. Very good condition. No scabbard.
