This fine sword is Indian mid 19 C. Its employ a Persian trade blade finely fullered and chiseled with a maker mark and inscription in Arabic letters. The blade is forged from fine Wootz (Damascus, Watered) steel of high contrast pattern. The handle is of a classical Tulwar handle shape. Richly decorated with gold koftgari work all around. Blade length 30 ½ inches. Total 35 inches. Very good condition.
