This Jambia dagger is Indian, mid – late 19C. The massive double edge curved blade is 8 ½ inches long 2 ½ inches wide with a thick strong central rib and reinforced edges. It is forged from very good wootz (Damascus, watered) steel. The grips are jadeite with steel grip strap and grip mounts, richly decorated with gold koftgari inlay. Total length 13 inches. Very good condition. Some losses to the gold inlay. No scabbard.
