This Jambiya dagger is most probably of Iraqi origin, late 19 – early 20C. Very well made blade 10 inches long forged from good high contrast wootz (Damascus, Watered) steel. |Finely decorated whole silver handle and lavishly chased silver scabbard. Total length 19 inches (compared to the 14 – 15 inches of the more common ones) . Very good plus condition. A very impressive dagger.
