This Yemenite Jambiya dagger is also know as Thouma and it is carried mostly by high ranking peoples in the Yemenite society. The blade is wide, double edged with a pronounced central rib 8 inches long and 3 inches wide. The handle is carved from rhino horn of good age and very dark color. The scabbard is wood with larg silver filigree chape. This Jambiya comes with its original wide belt adorned with many silver accessories: Amulet pockets, money pocket etc. Total length of belt 45 inches. Very good condition. Rare and authentic Jambiya from the early 20 C.
