This fine sword is Indian, Central Indiam from the Deccan, early – mid 19C. heavy, deadly sharp single edge blade 33 inches long, with a 10 inches back edge and 2 ½ inches ricasso. Gilded silver handle with a monster (Yali) shaped pommel. The cross guard is marked with what might be an armory mark. Total length 37 inches. Very good condition. Losses to the gilding. No scabbard. This sword comes from the Christensen collection, a well known arms and armor collection in Denmark.
